This summer the girls have started letterboxing.  Letterboxing is basically a world-wide treasure hunt.

Here they are (in an undisclosed location, of course) finding a letterbox.

Trashy mag day at the pool

After dropping Sadie off at school, Ellie and I had trashy mag day at the pool.  We took our trashy mags and all our pool toys and hung out by the pool for the morning.

She's pretty serious about her princess and fairy reading.

Oh, and we did some swimming too.  Here's my little fish preparing to toss her dive bars into the pool.

Sadie's first day of school!!!!!

Sadie had her first day of school this week.  She did great!  She loved it and has talked about it non stop.  One of her teachers is the same one Ellie had when she was two.  We love this little preschool! 

We had to chronicle the whole morning, of course.  This is breakfast on the BIG DAY.

But she loved exploring the store.

This is what we call a "one finger" store... we only touch with one finger.  (Much less damage that way!)

I have a lot of catching up to do on this blog, but I'm going to drop where I was and start posting updated photos.  This is from this last week.  Ellie's school went roller skating and it was so much fun!!  (And a little tricky!!)

She was not at all interested in trying on skates.

But she did like the ice they had in their drinks!

This was Ellie's first time on skates and she got the hang of it very quickly!

Loitering on Campus

Oh, wait, not our house. 
This is the Cliffs Cottage, it is on campus.  It is the first sustainable showcase house by Southern Living magazine.  It was built as a model of environmentally responsible design and construction. 
And I'd happily move into it, if they would only invite me.
