Birthday

I suppose since my birthday was already three weeks ago, now is a good time to post photos from that.  Just three quick pics.

First, the girls trying to stop me from peeking at the surprise they had for dessert.  

And then the dessert - Prinsesstårta - traditional Swedish princess cake.  

A perfect dessert:  wine, cake, chocolate.
The flowers were from my lovely new friends here.  Such a sweet surprise! 

This cake is divine!   Most of the princess cakes we see in bakeries around town are regular cake size.  They look like a green dome with a strawberry on top.  I don't know where W found this sweet little cupcake version but it was perfect.  Inside it had whipped cream, a layer of raspberry, and delicious sponge cake.  Yum!  Whose birthday is next?
