Tivoli, in Copenhagen, is closed for most of the winter. There are two times during the cold months when it opens - Halloween and Christmas. The place is fantastically decorated for these holidays and even though it is mightily cold for most of the rides, it is fun to spend time there. (See my posts on Tivoli written in October.)

The airplane ride that makes me feel sick just when I watch from the ground. I have a friend who rode on it and she swears it was fun. I will take her word for it.
Tivoli has its own aquarium with one big tank.

Here is Father Frost in his sleigh, waiting to meet children and hear their Christmas wishes. S wanted nothing to do with this. (Santa in BLUE? No way!) But E got up there and chatted with him about where she is from etc. and what she wanted for Christmas. He spoke Danish, Swedish and English. That Father Frost, he's pretty impressive.
I didn't get a pic of E with Father F. You were supposed to pay for the fancy (read: overpriced) professional photo so no cameras were allowed.
Tivoli knows how to decorate for Christmas! We should have aimed to be here in the evening to see the lights in full action.
