Misc photos from February

Sadie, the artist at work.

Wearing Ellie's winter jacket.

Our first crocuses of the spring.  This was taken Feb 20th.

Sadie's favorite hiding spot.  I can't see her, can you?

Going through Sadie's jewelry box.

I just can't resist a photo of these little sweet peas sleeping.

They are just so peaceful!

I just found a baby in the sheets.

Peek-a-boo!!!

Hey - there's a big girl in there too!

Bouncing Babies

One of Sadie's all time favorite things to do is go to Bouncing Babies.  It is a great program.  They sing songs, read books, share toys and, best of all, blow bubbles.  Ellie used to do Bouncing Babies when she was little and she loves to go back with Sadie.

There's a bubble on my nose

I love bubbles!

Yay!

They have good toys here too.

Snow!

Snow is a Very Big Deal around here.

In these here parts, we don't just have snow equipment readily available.  This is a sled I made for Ellie out of a diaper box and some duct tape.  It actually worked pretty well.  (Is that too SC?  Am I becoming a native?)
There's this cool stuff stuck all over my gloves!

Look, Mommy, it is weird!!
Is it ok if I walk on it?
This little snowperson lasted longer than the usual couple of hours.  This snow fall was HUGE .... by our standards.

Misc Pics from January

Rainy Day

Fitting room mirrors can provide endless entertainment.
Sadie decided to help out the shop owners and sweep the floor for them.

The girls took us mini-golfing

Ellie at the first hole.  You like her big bag of clubs?
Wes showing Ellie some technique.

Yes, I did say MINI golf, but it is fun to ride in a cart anyway.

Where'd the ball go??

The wild black light room.

The Children's Museum

We have a new children's museum in town!   With Wes' schedule, we can find days when he can take a little time off but most kids are in school so we can have places like this to ourselves.   It is so great to let the kids run free.  In the morning there were school groups touring but in the afternoon the place was empty.

Running the cockpit

What is it about grocery stores that is so fascinating to kids!?
They gravitate towards the grocery store in every kids museum we go to.
Sadie was particularly enamored by the shopping carts.
She'd pull them out one by one and carefully line them up.
Here's the super cool climbing structure that goes to the height of the building.
Most of the climbing panels are see-thru so I could stay on one floor and see Ellie, no matter where she was.
Sadie, trying to feed a hungry Daddy.
Ellie, developing a new skill.
Sadie, getting ready for spring.
The water room!!!
...with a special toddler table, at Sadie height.
The girls could have made a whole day out of just this one room.
Wes and Ellie in the TV studio ... wearing appropriate head-wear.
... and in the editing room.
The toddler version of a house of mirrors.
This was Sadie's favorite exhibit.
She could have played here all day.
What am I saying?  She DID play here all day.

Everybody knows that if you see your reflection in a mirror you're supposed to run up and kiss it, right?

Time for a little climbing before we head home.
