Legoland - the hotel

I think I might have gone a little crazy with the camera.  But Legoland was so fun and at every corner I was surprised by the ingenuity and creativity that went into everything. We stayed at Hotel Legoland which opens directly onto the park.  It was perfect because we were so close we could come and go as we pleased.  The hotel itself was very Lego-based.  From our sheets to our plates at the hotel restaurant, everything was embellished with Lego designs.  In our hotel room there was a fully stocked Lego table.  Whatever smart parent thought that one up deserves a medal.  The girls woke early, all excited to go exploring, but they stayed quiet while we slept because they were busy building Lego creations.

This big guy greeted us at the door of the hotel.  Behind him was a whole play structure so the kids started playing before we'd even finished checking in.

Along the hallways in the hotel there were all kinds of Lego characters.

(Note even the carpet is Lego-themed).

At the end of every hallway - a huge Lego bin, of course.  Every day these bins were refilled with more Legos!!  In the morning we'd come out of our room to find the bins overflowing.

The restaurant was excellent.  They had a huge delicious buffet and a separate kid-height buffet
with kid-friendly food.  (Lego shaped fries anyone?)

Oh how I wish this photo of my Dad wasn't so blurry!

Legos in the candle sticks.

Play area IN the hotel restaurant. Parent heaven!  We got to sit and eat a full meal!

Here's W getting sucked in to the Lego bin.  What should he build first?
